Study on Cytocompatibility of Tricalcium Phasphate Ceramics Artificial Bone Zheng Qixin; Du Jingyuan; Xia Zhidao; Wang Hong( Assoc. Prof.,Xehe Hospital of Tongji Medical University,Wuhan 430022,China.)When L929 cells mixed with tricalicuim phosphate (TCP) ceramics were cultured in vitro, their growth was not inhibited in analysis of MTT method;when osteoblasts mixed with TCP ceramics were cultured in vitro, they grown well and spread entensively over coverslip, and no significant difference on their growth was noted comparing with osteoblasts group alone under SEM observation;when marrow cells mixed with TCP ceramics were cultured in vitro,a large amount of cells adhered well to the surface and inner wall of TCP creamies and spread well over the dish bottom, and no significant difference on their growth was noted comparing with marrow cells group alone under inversive phase contrast microscope observation. These reults demonstrated that the TCP ceramics did not show cytotoxicity and possessed an excellent cytocompatibity.: tricalcium phosphate ; ceramics; cell; compatibility
